The stay lasted for 4 nights and was mainly to explore the rich cultural attractions in the area, such as the Kunsthalle Darmstadt and the Mathildenhohe. I appreciated the clean and modern room we had, and the breakfast was a pleasant start to the day with tasty croissants. on our second day, we faced issues with housekeeping, as we were running low on essential items like toilet paper, and towels were not replaced as expected. Despite this, the friendly nature of the staff and the good breakfast experience made our trip enjoyable overall.

I reckon it was a decent stay, but the lack of proper dining options near the hotel was a bummer, eh? Staff were quite friendly, so that was sweet as!

Let me tell you about the succulent organic chicken I discovered at the nearby Akropolis Restaurant Darmstadt (0.5 km)! It was an epic feast that hit all the right spots. Plus, the staff at the hotel were super helpful, making arrangements for a late checkout, which saved the day.

But hold up! The TV system didn’t work throughout the hotel, which is a bummer when you’re paying for it. The breakfast options were limited and a bit boring, and we even had a wake-up knock at 9am on a Sunday just to check if we were still there, talk about a rude awakening. It was clear that cleanliness missed the memo as well. we didn’t see any housekeeping during our stay.

The inconsistency in room cleaning and missing basic amenities like towels and toilet paper were frustrating!!! The sound insulation from train disturbances needs improvement!!! Efforts should be made to enhance guest comfort in smaller rooms!!!

I enjoyed the comfortable bed and appreciated the fast internet, making my two-night stay pleasant. The breakfast was a nice start to my day, offering a variety of options. I faced issues with housekeeping as my towels weren't changed during my stay, and I had to go to the reception to get fresh ones. it was a nice visit, but better coordination with housekeeping would improve the experience.

The Holiday Inn Express, Darmstadt By Ihg offered a modern equipped meeting room that was ideal for our small group sessions. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, even accommodating a late checkout request seamlessly. The availability of a business center and vending machines with drinks and snacks on-site further enhanced my experience.

The air conditioning in the room was not effective.
